The 2024 GMC Sierra Brings Refined Excitement to the Road

Year after year, the full-size GMC Sierra just keeps getting better, which is why so many people are looking for a GMC Sierra for sale these days to enjoy everything one of these trucks has to offer. You might think that this kind of success and demand would cause GMC to rest on its laurels and simply roll forward with more of the same, but that’s not the brand’s style. For the 2024 model year, the Sierra models are getting better than ever with more power, improved luxury, and amazing new options designed to let you go further in your truck than ever before. Let’s take a look at some of what they offer, and you’ll see what we mean.
Stunning Upgrades for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500
To kick things off, we have the 2024 Sierra 1500. GMC’s half-ton truck is designed to meet the needs of the widest range of drivers. If you require a large truck but you’re not looking to go all the way to the HD options that GMC offers, then this is the one you should be looking at. The Sierra 1500 has been an amazing pickup for years now, but there’s no denying that things just keep getting better, and the 2024 model is a prime example of that.
Although there’s a lot going on with the Sierra 1500 that we’re excited about, one of the biggest changes is that the incredible 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I-6 engine, which has been available on the Sierra for some years now, is now standard on the AT4X extreme off-road trim. This is the latest version of the Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, which was just released last year and delivers 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. It’s a fantastic engine that lets the Sierra 1500 tackle just about anything, so it’s no surprise that GMC has made it the standard offering for the incredible AT4X off-road model.
In addition to this big announcement, there are other upgrades and changes coming for the 2024 model year, such as new power-retractable assist steps for the high-end Denali, Denali Ultimate, AT4, and AT4X trims. These models will also have a new active exhaust available that boosts the sound and feel of the Sierra 1500, plus new wheel options and two new unique exterior paint colors: Downpour Metallic and Thunderstorm Gray. Last but not least, the remarkable 2.7L High-Output Turbo engine that comes standard on the lower trims of Sierra 1500 now bears the name “TurboMax” and sets the standard for best-in-class standard torque and towing capacity.

New Options for the 2024 GMC Sierra HD
There’s no denying how remarkable the Sierra 1500 is, but it’s far from the only full-size truck that GMC offers. If you like the style and design of the half-ton Sierra but need to handle more work than a light-duty truck can manage, then there are the Sierra HD pickups for you to choose from. Both the Sierra 2500 HD and the Sierra 3500 HD are fantastic trucks designed to handle incredible amounts of work, giving you two great options. GMC is delivering some big updates for the 2024 Sierra HD, meeting the needs of drivers looking for exquisite luxury and rugged off-road performance alike.
2024 Sierra HD Denali Ultimate
For years, the Denali trim from GMC was the high standard for luxury and sophistication in a truck, giving you amazing features. While the Denali models remain incredible offerings with remarkable tech and comfort for you to enjoy, GMC recently decided to outdo itself by taking things to the next level with the Denali Ultimate trim. For the 2024 model year, the GMC Sierra HD trucks are getting this treatment with their first-ever Denali Ultimate variants designed to elevate your driving experience beyond anything you’ve seen before.
Distinguishing the Denali Ultimate from other Sierra HD models is a unique Vader chrome grille, and 20-inch Ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels with High Gloss black accents for an incredible first impression. Unique fender badging features the topography of Mount Denali, the namesake for this trim and the highest point in North America. GMC’s remarkable six-way MultiPro Tailgate is standard on the 2024 Denali Ultimate, as is a Kicker audio system and a new power assist step.
Inside this gorgeous piece of machinery, you’ll find even more luxury and refinement than you ever thought possible within a truck. The Denali Ultimate features an exclusive Alpine Umber interior with full-grain leather-wrapped door panels and etched stainless-steel speaker grilles. You’ll also get full-grain leather seats with exclusive Denali Ultimate badging, all-new 16-way power-adjustable front seats with a massage function, a premium microsuede headliner, and a 12-speaker Bose Premium series with Centerpoint surround sound. A gorgeous 13.4-inch infotainment display graces the center of the dash, paired with a standard 15-inch multicolor head-up display for an innovative drive.
2024 Sierra 2500 HD AT4X
While the Denali Ultimate is the height of sophistication and luxury, that’s not all GMC has to offer: the first-ever AT4X trim for the Sierra HD pickup is a new flagship off-road option designed to let you go anywhere you can imagine. The 2024 Sierra 2500 HD AT4X features a factory-installed 1.5-inch suspension lift, a rear e-locking differential, and Multimatic DSSV dampers for an incredible off-road experience. A powerful 6.6L V8 gas engine is standard, with a 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine available for greater torque and boosted towing ability.
You’ll also find 35-inch Goodyear Territory tires, plus unique front control arms and steering knuckles to handle anything the trail throws at you. Speaking of which, you get a larger steel transfer case skid plate and front aluminum skid plate on this model, compared to the off-road-focused AT4, giving you more protection for your pickup. Of course, you expect impressive luxury from GMC, so the AT4X comes with a unique Obsidian Rush interior that features full-grain leather-wrapped front seats with massage functionality and much more.
Going a step further, there’s a version of the AT4X designed in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), a legend in the off-road game. The AT4X AEV Edition features strong stamped steel bumpers with integrated recovery points and support for a front winch. You’ll also find heavy-duty steel skid plates on the underside of this model, unique 18-inch Salta wheels, and exclusive exterior badging and interior details. If you need high-end power and plenty of muscle in a truck that can reach any job site, no matter how remote and rough, then these new AT4X models are what you’ve been waiting for.
