    Space for Passengers and Cargo

When you have a lot of things to transport, from sports gear to pet crates to a week’s worth of groceries for a large family, you simply need a lot of cargo space. The 2024 Chevy Traverse has it. With the second and third rows folded, the Traverse provides 98 cu.ft. of cargo volume. Once you’ve dropped the kids off at school, you can make space for a piece of furniture, a bicycle, boxes of files—you name it. Plus, the cavernous trunk can hold everyone's backpacks and suitcases when everybody loads up for a family road trip, and the seats are full.

When you need to access the trunk but your hands are full, you’ll appreciate the available AutoSense Liftgate. It senses your presence as you approach and automatically opens for you. You can skip the part where you try to balance two grocery bags and a coffee mug on one arm while searching for keys in your pocket with the other. Plus, the trunk’s large opening makes loading it a breeze. If you need a more curated cargo arrangement, utilize the 60/40 split-folding bench seat in the third row to fit six or seven passengers and still make space for a long piece of luggage.

The 2024 Traverse has seating for up to eight but can be outfitted with second-row captain’s seats. This will reduce seating to seven but create a more spacious second row that is comfortable for tall passengers. As for passengers needing to access the third row, the available second-row SmartSlide seats will slide forward to allow easy entry to the rear passenger area. Drivers who spend extended time behind the wheel might want to check out the available power driver seat with four-way power lumbar support. Getting into the perfect driving position for long rides and adding lumbar support can help you arrive at your destination feeling relaxed instead of stiff and sore.

  • Technology

    A Wealth of Infotainment Features

The inside of the 2024 Traverse is rich with infotainment features that will make busy days of carpooling or sitting in rush hour more bearable––and even enjoyable. The Traverse has an outstanding standard 17.7-inch multimedia screen. For reference, that’s larger than the screen of the largest Macbook Pro. You’ll be able to see large, crisp graphics from your navigation on this massive screen. If you take advantage of the wireless smartphone compatibility, you can see your favorite apps populate on the huge screen, making it easy to change songs, check out traffic updates, and more. You can also charge your devices with the available wireless charging pad, so you can leave the cords at home and keep your driver’s center tidy.

The 2024 Traverse also benefits from Google built-in. With the majority of Internet users turning to Google for news updates, search queries, and more, this is a useful feature to have in the vehicle. Ask it to do things like look up restaurant recommendations along your route or check the weather. An optional Bose sound system tops off the great infotainment features. It will deliver surround sound to every passenger in the vehicle, so nobody will complain they can’t hear the song or podcast.

Get Behind the Wheel With Confidence

Drivers can get behind the wheel of the Traverse with confidence, knowing that it’s equipped with excellent standard and available driver-assist features. Standard features include Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, IntelliBeam High Beam Assist, and more. New for the 2024 model year, the Traverse gets Rear Pedestrian Alert, Side Bicyclist Alert, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, and additional helpful features. Together, these tools help a driver remain alert and aware of what’s happening around the vehicle at all times. They can keep you and your family safe and reduce the chances of costly accidents.

  • Versatility

Hit the Trail With the Z71

We particularly love the Traverse because of how versatile it is. While it’s certainly a terrific family vehicle, it’s also ready for adventure. That’s especially true for the new 2024 model because it now offers the Z71 trim. Previously available on larger Chevy models, including the Tahoe, Silverado, and Colorado, the Z71 has been a popular trim among off-roaders for many years, and we’re so excited that Chevy has decided to add it to the three-row Traverse. This brings new adventure possibilities to drivers who need a comfortable three-row SUV.

The Z71 trim gets an off-road-ready suspension to help you stay in command on uneven terrain. It also gets hill descent control, helping you go downhill more steadily. A skid plate protects vulnerable undercarriage components, and tow hooks give you the option to have someone pull you out of a tough spot. Finally, the all-terrain tires on the Z71 make this trim of the Traverse ready to tackle unpaved roads, including dirt and mud surfaces. You can feel free to explore in the 2024 Traverse Z71.

    More Adventure-Ready Features

Even beyond the Z71 trim, you can find great adventure-ready features throughout the lineup. Let’s start with the included trailering equipment, which allows the 2024 Traverse to tow up to 5,000 lbs. You can take a boat or camper with you on your adventures with towing power like that. With the available roof racks, you can also stash things like bicycles or kayaks on the roof. When the interior is full of passengers, and you need extra space for equipment or gear, the roof racks will come in handy.

A sunroof lets everyone enjoy some natural light and take in their surroundings when exploring new places. Finally, available Super Cruise hands-free driving technology lets you take a bit of a break on long drives, as it takes over steering, braking, and accelerating for you (but this doesn't mean you don’t need to remain alert and be ready to take over).
