The Acadia has offered a roomy and bold solution to consumers since its inception in the early 2000s. With ample seating, cargo space, and rugged appeal, the Acadia is an inviting option for a wide range of people and lifestyles. With a refresh for the new model year, the 2024 GMC Acadia takes these features to a new level. A new engine brings even more life to the Acadia and fuels the off-road version with vigor. The rugged AT4 trim is just one vehicle available in the new line-up. Ranging from the base Elevation to the most luxurious Denali ever, there is an Acadia to fit almost every lifestyle. Ample seating and cargo options open a world of opportunities for the solo driver or the family of adventure-seekers. The 2024 model year seems to be a year of bigger, better, and more exciting as everything has been taken to the max.

  • Interior

The black and light grey interior of a 2024 GMC Acadia shows three rows of seating.

    Roomy Elegance

No corners were cut when designing the interior of the 2024 Acadia. Envisioned as a luxury getaway, The Acadia offers spacious comfort and high-end extras to make every day feel like a spa day. With three trim options to choose from, you can pick the Acadia that best fits your style.

Depending on the configuration, the Acadia can now seat up to eight, with some set-ups accommodating seven. This spacious three-row SUV doesn’t sacrifice comfort for seating, with the most front leg room in its class. The new dimensions of the Acadia produce more legroom, more passenger space, and even more cargo capacity than ever before. With so much “more,” the Acadia is sure to be a front-runner of the new year.

To take advantage of all the extra room, the Acadia comes standard with one-touch folding second-row seats and a power-folding third row. With these power features, you can easily fold the seats down for cargo or bring them upright for passenger space. You can also upgrade the rear row to a one-touch folding seat as well, further increasing practicality. With one-touch there is no waiting around while the seats fold—simply press a button and get on with your task at hand.

    Posh Features

Drivers and passengers are treated to a posh experience with upscale finishes and premium features. Depending on trim and available add-ons, Acadia passengers can enjoy ventilated and heated front seats decked out in high-end perforated leather upholstery. To complement the leather seating, real wood accents with laser-engraved designs adorn the interior.

The rear outboard seats have the option to be heated as well, treating rear guests to the same Acadian refinement. Adding to the openness of the Acadia is an available sunroof that spans from side to side to provide the most optimal view and plenty of sunshine. Wherever you are sitting in the Acadia, beautiful panoramic views await. With the addition of the available Bose sound system, drivers and passengers can create their own soundtrack to accompany the incredible sights around.

  • Capability and Performance

A close up of the rear AT4 badge on a white 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 is shown.

    Built for Power

The Acadia boasts new dimensions for the new model year, providing a more capable SUV. A turbocharged inline-four takes produces sufficient power for most needs. 328 horses provide plenty of pep from the 2.5-liter engine that is mated to an eight-speed transmission for some smooth transitioning. The wheelbase has been stretched to 120 in., which adds stability, control, and, of course, space. As much as the added inches help for everyday driving, it's the AT4 you’ll want when looking for something more off-road capable.

    The AT4

The AT4 is the Acadia’s off-road-ready trim, equipped with everything you could need for adventure beyond the road most traveled. Using the new dimensions to its advantage, the AT4 sports a one-inch higher ride height, offering improved clearance. The AT4 also features a wider stance, which increases stability when the terrain turns rough. All-wheel drive is available on all trims, but the AT4 comes standard with it and uses Active Torque Control to manage varying landscapes. A traction select system lets you choose optimized settings that send torque where needed for the best performance. Terrain Mode has your back when you need it the most. Specially tuned off-road suspension is designed to handle the bumps and bruises with grace, making every ride a more enjoyable one.

The front fascia on the AT4 has been modified to provide a higher approach angle, protecting more of the SUV. A skid plate is also added, providing additional support for the Acadia’s front end. Tow hooks finish the rugged design of the Acadia’s most capable trim.

Whether you are looking to hit the trails or take some toys out for the weekend, towing and hauling matters. With all trims capable of towing up to 5,000 lbs when equipped with the optional tow package, you will be set for any adventure. As a bonus, the AT4 offers Hill Descent Control, an extra feature that makes towing that much easier.

  • Technology

    Information at Your Fingertips

The 2024 Acadia has an array of technology, ranging from safety systems to infotainment features, all designed with the driver in mind. Inside, occupants will be greeted by an expansive 15” infotainment screen that sits front and center. The massive display commands attention and provides an exciting focal point inside the Acadia’s cabin. From the center stack, both driver and passenger can access a variety of programs, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus, with Google built-in compatibility, connecting to your vehicle is a cinch.

For driver information, each Acadia trim comes with an 11” Driver Information Center that is customizable so you see the information you want to see, the way you want to see it. For advanced safety and visibility, an eight-inch head-up display is available, projecting important information directly onto the windshield in front of you. Safety is taken further in the Acadia with over 15 standard safety features designed to get you where you need to go safely.

    Safety Is a Priority

Safety alert programs aid drivers by detecting potential impacts before they happen. Rear Pedestrian Alert and Side Bicyclist Alert are two of these programs that help you prepare for the unpredictable. Active features like Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking go beyond just providing a warning, providing assistance when the alerts just aren’t enough.

To help set you up for success, preemptive features like Speed Limit Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition work before there are problems by following road safety guidelines. Maintaining proper distance from the vehicles around you and being aware of posted traffic laws make all the difference between safety and disaster. There are plenty of passive and active safety features equipped on the Acadia so that driving alone will never make you feel alone.

Some features even offer hands-free driving solutions, like GMCs Super Cruise. The 2024 model year is the first time that Super Cruise has been offered on the Acadia, providing semi-autonomous driving on compatible roads. Using Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Change on Demand, the Acadia can be set to go with the flow of traffic and even safely change lanes all on its own.

  • Design

    Bigger and Beautiful

Sometimes, we need to experience change to realize our full potential, and the same goes for the Acadia. Redone from front to rear, the Acadia is more aggressive and capable than ever. One of the most impressive changes made to the Acadia comes in the form of a growth spurt, adding inches to its length, width, and height. The extra inches add spaciousness inside and a more rugged and bold appearance outside.

The Acadia is available in several trims, each offering unique exteriors, showcasing their distinct personalities. Choose from the Elevation and Elevation Premium, which are entry-level trim options loaded to the top with features. Next is the AT4, the Acadia’s off-road edition SUV that will take you to new heights. Last up is the Denali, with the best of the best features to pamper yourself every day.

The Elevation enjoys the larger, more muscular design and is the first trim in the line-up to show off its new truck-like front face. The available sunroof adds extra spaciousness, and the available Blackout Edition adds darker trim to the exterior to make the Elevation pop. The Elevation Premium shares similar features, adding in roof rails for a slightly more “elevated” look and added practicality.

The AT4 sets itself apart as the off-road trim with a lifted ride height and all-terrain tires for better grip and a more rugged stance. Exclusive AT4 badging adorns the rear and side panels, matching the headrest stitching inside the cabin. Red tow hooks compliment the badging and set the tone for adventure. Dark accents are exclusive to this trim, further distinguishing this bold and exciting option. A Forest Storm interior with contrast stitching finishes off this trim’s road-ready design.

The Denali is the creme de la creme of the line-up, equipped with high-end details everywhere you look. Outside, the Denali is available with massive 22” wheels, the largest ever available on the Denali from the factory. The Denali features a unique grille insert and distinct badging to ensure it turns heads. Animated lights welcome you upon arrival and send you off with a lasting impression.
