Except for the base trim SL that is front-wheel drive only, you can get the 2021 Terrain in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. There are tons of available customization packages, too, such as the Dark Accent package, which includes a black rear license plate frame, back and front fascia inserts, black-painted mirror caps, and a darkened grille with a black surround and a charcoal insert. The Elevation Edition package comes with black-painted mirror caps, 19-inch gloss black painted aluminum wheels, and a darkened front grille. The Bright Accent package comes with a chrome grille, chrome mirror caps, and a chromed-out rear bumper protector.
Finally, the Hit the Road package comes with roof rack cross rails and molded assist steps for those who need extra assistance while looking more aesthetically pleasing to boot. Keep in mind that the lowest SL trim doesn’t come with any package options, and it only comes in black, white, and silver exterior colors. That said, you can still add the tent, license plate frames, and deflectors to the SL trim. The 2021 GMC Terrain’s exterior offers more than just appeal, too. It also offers convenience. The standard SLT comes with luggage racks, LED head and taillights, fog lights, outside heated power mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, and deep-tinted rear glass.
