Operation Secret Santa Success for Bedford County Families

Justin George, General Manager of Newton Chevrolet GMC, wanted to give back to the Bedford county community for Christmas this year. He settled on receiving community nomination for families that could use a little extra cheer this Christmas.

Over 100 nominations were received, and on December 11, two families were chosen for the store to sponsor. More information was gathered, like gift ideas for the kids and their families, and then Justin headed out to shop with his son, to share the experience with him.

Delivered with Care

Finally, on December 23rd, our team delivered these gifts to the two families, along with a full holiday meal from Sonny’s BBQ, to help them celebrate and provide a little Christmas cheer for them!

These nominated families gave back to us just as much as we received from them. We are thankful for the opportunity to meet these parents and kids, and it humbled us watching them overflow with joy over something as simple as a new toy or pair of shoes.

Justin was given a gift at the second home they visited. The youngest son paints to raise money for others, and he gave Justin a painted canvas just as his way of saying thank you. “It was hard to stop talking and leave these kids, who not only received their gifts with joy, but by giving back themselves. Every year before 2020, they’ve raised money for children’s hospitals. We look forward to partnering with this special family again next year.”
