IT’S TIME TO CLEAN YOUR CAR’S INTERIOR FOR SPRING | SHELBYVILLE, TN

With warmer weather right around the corner, now is the perfect time to remove the grime and rubbish of winter from your vehicle’s interior. Here are four things you can do to get your ride in shape for spring.

Clear out the clutter

Check your vehicle’s floors and throw out any trash that may have accumulated over the winter months. While you’re at it, check for any other unneeded items that you’ve stashed in the cabin. Remove them and put them away in the house or garage.

Clean the carpets and upholstery

Take out your vehicle’s floor mats and clean them. Vacuum and brush all the debris and dirt from your vehicle’s upholstery and carpets. Don’t forget to get under and between the seats, too. Carefully clean the upholstery using a clean, damp rag and the appropriate cleaning product for cloth, vinyl, or leather seats.

Wash the console and the windows

Wash the dust and dirt from your car’s consoles, cup holders, and other surfaces with the appropriate cleaning product, being careful not to get electrical connections wet. Use window cleaner to clear any smudges, fingerprints and dirt from the rearview mirror and the inside of each window.

Don’t forget the trunk

Clear out any trash from your vehicle’s trunk, along with any clutter that’s accumulated. While you’re at it, be sure to vacuum, examine your spare tire, and replenish any emergency items.
