Certified GMC For Sale

When you buy a car, you want to make sure that you’re getting a dependable model that will get you everywhere you need to go safely and comfortably. Getting a quality American vehicle from GMC means having an SUV or truck that you can trust, but not everyone can afford to buy the latest model. Instead of settling for a lesser brand, you can find a certified GMC for sale right here at Newton Chevrolet GMC that’s sure to suit your needs and exceed your expectations.

Getting a used vehicle can feel scary, but when you choose a GMC Certified vehicle, you can shop confidently, knowing that every single option has been thoroughly inspected and is in tip-top shape. Thanks to their tough construction, every model in GMC’s lineup is built to last, so you can rest assured that a used vehicle will be not just roadworthy, but comfortable and in great condition for years to come, no matter how long your daily commute is.

Many automakers offer a CPO (certified pre-owned) program, but with the GMC advantage, you’ll come out on top. GMC’s certified vehicles are held to a high standard in order to give you the peace of mind you're looking for in a pre-owned vehicle. If you want to know exactly what that means, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s delve into the details and see just what you’ll be getting with a Certified Pre-Owned GMC.

GMC's Certified Pre-Owned Program

GMC’s Certified Pre-Owned program can be broken down into two main parts. First, there’s the selection and inspection that happens before a vehicle can earn the title of “Certified.” Then, there are the benefits that you get as a driver after you purchase a certified GMC. We’re going to explain both, so that you know exactly what you’re getting with this CPO program.

Before Certification

Not every used GMC model is eligible to become certified. CPO models can’t be too old and must be current within six model years. You won’t find CPO GMCs with maxed-out odometers either, since certified models can’t have more than 75,000 miles on them. Beyond that, the car needs to have a clean title and pass a vehicle history report to ensure that it doesn’t have any major damage lurking in its past. A detailed CARFAX history report is also provided. Once a vehicle meets all of those standards, it will undergo a 172-point inspection and reconditioning. While some issues can disqualify a vehicle from certification, others are small enough that they will simply be fixed before the model is put out on the lot. Any safety recalls must also be completed at this time.

Certification Benefits

Once you’ve picked out and purchased your certified GMC, you’ll be able to take advantage of a variety of benefits. For one thing, if you get your vehicle home and run into buyer’s remorse, you can bring it back within the first three days or 150 miles and exchange it for a model that fits your needs. With a CPO GMC, you’ll get two factory-backed warranties, so you can rest easy knowing that you have a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty plus a 6-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, both of which have a $0 deductible. GMC also provides two complimentary maintenance visits for oil and filter changes, tire rotations, or multi-point inspections.

On top of that, you’ll get free trials of two great services that allow the tech built into your car to reach its fullest potential. A three-month trial of SiriusXM lets you enjoy plenty of on-road entertainment, including music, sports coverage, talk shows, comedy, and news, all ad-free. With up to three months of OnStar Safety & Security plan, you can access cutting-edge features like remote vehicle start and the ability to lock and unlock your doors from your smartphone.

We Offer Newton Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles

Here at Newton, our CPO Program covers our many quality vehicles from a wide variety of brands, and provides better coverage than the manufacturer's standard CPO program. Our rigorous 170-point inspection covers every inch of the car from bumper to bumper. Our expert technicians inspect important safety features like the air bags and seat belts, as well as basic vehicle components like the body, frame, tires and wheels, engine, fuel system, suspension, steering, and electrical system. Plus, we make sure to take each vehicle out for a road test in order to catch any issues that only occur when the vehicle is in motion. On top of the extensive inspection, all of our Newton Certified Pre-Owned vehicles come with a comprehensive 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, along with an optional extended protection plan.

During this process, we decide what (if any) repairs are needed and take care of them before making the vehicle available to purchase. For instance, if the tire treads are too worn, we’ll replace them with new tires. When our sales staff is showing you what we have on the lot, they’ll go over any repairs or replacements that were done on the vehicle, both for the sake of transparency and to make sure that you don’t waste money replacing brand-new parts. If you have any questions about a particular model or the CPO program generally, you can always ask and our knowledgeable team will be happy to answer.

Our Extensive Inventory

Our pre-owned inventory is always in flux, but no matter what models we have in stock, you can rest assured that any GMC vehicle is going to give you an exceptional combination of rugged dependability and luxurious style and comfort. The full-size Sierra 1500 pickup truck is a great choice for getting tough work taken care of, or bringing bulky gear along on an adventurous camping trip. For a more nimble truck that can handle twisty country back roads, you can opt for a Canyon instead.

If you’re looking for an SUV, GMC has models that cover a great range of sizes. The small Terrain is affordable and easy to maneuver, while the mid-size Acadia offers a third row of seats and ample cargo space. For a large-and-in-charge option that can fit the whole family and all of their luggage with room to spare, there’s the full-size Yukon or the Yukon XL, which features an extra-long wheelbase for even more interior space.

Remember to pay attention to the vehicle’s trim level too. Basic trim levels like SLE and SLT will have plenty of great features, but are more affordable because they don’t spring for all of the available bells and whistles. Rugged AT4 models are fortified so that they can tackle rough terrain, and with a Denali or Denali Ultimate trim, you can expect the best of the best, with luxury features and refined style.
