ADVENTURE READY: THE 2020 CHEVROLET BLAZER

The 2020 Chevrolet Blazer keeps coming back for more after its debut last year. While most of the new model year’s elements remain the same, the added option of a new turbo engine keeps this choice fresh for anyone looking for a new SUV.

Under the Hood

The option of a new turbo engine joins the powertrain lineup for the Blazer. Two carryover engines remain, ranging from 193 horsepower to 308 and 188 to 270 pound-feet of torque. The new Blazer engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4, producing 230 hp, 259 lb-ft of torque, and towing up to 4,500 pounds when in all-wheel drive. This is available on 2LT and 3LT models only.

Interior & Technology

Every Blazer offers the following on the interior:

• Seating for up to 5 passengers
• Cloth and leather seat options
• Push-button start
• Rear-view camera
• 8-inch touchscreen

Apple Car Play & Android Auto also are available within the infotainment center.

Most of the advanced safety features are not standard, but come in an available add-on package, which would include:

• adaptive cruise control,
• automatic emergency braking,
• forward collision alert,
• a surround-view camera,
• lane-departure warning, and
• lane-keeping assist.
