The Chevy Colorado

Some drivers may not need the power, space, and towing capacity of a full-sized truck. For those looking for a smaller pickup, Chevrolet has the perfect solution: the mid-sized Colorado, available with an array of styles and sizes for the cab and bed, as well as varied trim options with additional features. Because the Colorado is available in any number of configurations, there’s a truck that can meet your specifications, whether you are looking for something for your commute, going off-roading, or a reliable work truck. As it is smaller than the larger Silverado, the Chevy Colorado is easier to maneuver through different driving conditions, including rain, snow, and mud.

First introduced in 2004, the current generation of Chevrolet Colorado comes in four models and three different engine options, getting up to an estimated 20 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. Its different trims increase in features and luxury as you upgrade, ranging from a power-adjusted driver seat to remote start and entry or off-roading features. While the Chevy Colorado no longer has a true “base” model, its four options provide enough range and customizations to feel like a different truck for each type of driver.

The WT is the no-frills version of the Colorado, with either a direct-injected or V6 engine with up to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The cab comes with dual rear seats or a folding rear bench, depending on the cab you choose, and a front center floor console. The Colorado comes with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with a seven-inch touchscreen and two USB ports to conveniently charge your devices on your travels. For effective stopping and precision, the truck comes with four-wheel antilock disc brakes.

The LT is the next trim level up, adding an additional level of grandeur to the interior and exterior of the truck from the leather-wrapped steering wheel to remote keyless entry, auto-dimming rearview mirror to power-locking tailgate. It comes with the same engine options and towing options as the WT, with additional packages available for further upgrades. The Infotainment 3 system has an eight-inch diagonal touchscreen for extra visibility.

Looking for something that operates well off the road? The Z71 and ZR2 have off-road features to keep your truck safe on uneven terrain. The ZR2 is a step up from the Z71 in terms of available features; for example, while the Z71 has an automatic locking rear differential, the ZR2 comes with automatic locks for the front and rear. Both trucks come with all-terrain tires and 17-inch wheels. Further off-roading packages are available for both models.

The Chevy Silverado

The Chevrolet Silverado is the range of full-size trucks manufactured by Chevrolet, and while the Silverado name had been used on trim levels since the 1975 model year, the line was introduced in 1999. Currently in its fourth generation, the Silverado comes in a lightweight or medium-duty pickup truck with different trim models available for each.

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a half-ton pickup truck with the capability to tow up to 13,300 lbs. With nine model options, it’s easy to find the ideal truck to meet your needs. Each model can come with either 2WD or 4x4 drivetrain configurations, as well as a powerful 6.2L V8 engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With our different camera technologies, you’ll have access to up to 15 different viewpoints from eight cameras to make it easy to switch lanes, hitch a trailer, park, and check for loose debris in the truck’s bed. From a day-to-day work truck, an off-roading vehicle, to a comfortable truck that can handle any type of driving, there is a Silverado 1500 that can work for you.

Maybe you need something more heavy-duty with more power behind it. Consider the Silverado HD, which has a towing capacity of up to 36,000 lbs with a maximum payload of 7,442 lbs. As one of the top three-quarter-ton pickup trucks on the market, the Silverado HD comes in five different trim models with features to help you get the most out of your truck, from increased precision, off-roading capabilities, and heightened levels of comfort in the cabin. Most models have the option of a Multi-Flex Tailgate with up to six functions and in-cabin activation. This can provide a number of options to drivers who may need more room or a lower space to load in cargo, a standing workstation, or a lower lip to keep items in place. Similar to the 1500, a number of camera angles are available for a comprehensive view around the vehicle for increased safety.
